Le Duy Grand Hotel Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City

I had a decent stay at this hotel with a friend while on an Intrepid tour. The views from our room on a higher floor were absolutely stunning, and the breakfast spread was quite impressive. However, I found the pillows uncomfortable, and the lack of a proper sheet made it too hot at night. The pool at the front of the hotel didn’t feel very relaxing, and I had an unfortunate experience with getting overcharged for a beer I swapped out at checkout. Overall, it was a mixed experience with some great highlights but also some disappointing aspects.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel overall. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made a big difference in my experience. The rooms were clean and cozy, but the mattress was not exactly to my liking as it was a bit firm. The breakfast was varied and flavorful, although it did get crowded, especially during peak hours. One downside was the pool area; while it was refreshing, its location next to a busy road didn’t lend itself to relaxation. I found the location a bit removed from the main attractions but still manageable with a taxi ride.

The location was a bit far from the main attractions but getting a taxi was easy. I appreciated the pool and bar facilities, though I would have preferred a more central location in the future.

I had a pretty good experience staying at this hotel for four nights. The front desk staff was always friendly and efficient, which made check-in and any inquiries really smooth. The room was cozy and clean, though the mattress was on the firm side. Breakfast was abundant with diverse options, but it did get crowded. The spa was a nice escape, and the pool was perfect for cooling down after a long day of exploring, despite the nearby busy street adding liveliness at times. The only downside was that it’s a bit too far to walk to the main tourist attractions, but we still found a few interesting sites nearby.
